Last week, we received the following: Charley Harper Nesting Blocks, Charley Harper Coloring Books of Birds and the book ABC is for Circus by Patrick Hruby. These came from Ammo Books! I love them all. Oh, and so does Katelyn! I can’t say enough about the bright colors and pretty pictures. The art is so pretty. I think I am going to use the coloring book or maybe scan copies for Katelyn since it is to intricate I don’t she will appreciate in with Toddler coloring!
ABC is for Circus by Patrick Hruby
Before getting this book Katelyn could say and knew the letters A,B and I by sight. She quickly liked the new book and would point to each letter asking, “What’s that?” Below is the video of her just a day after the book came and probably only 20 mins of looking at it. Now a week later she recognizes and can say all her letters, but L. Not sure what she has against L :) She doesn’t say very many words so for her to know her ABCs is pretty cool!
The Nesting Blocks come in the same bright pretty pictures as the ABC book. Katelyn hasn’t really paid much attention to the letters and numbers on each block yet. However, the blocks have provided a lot of fun playtime for her over the last week. She enjoys lining them up, stacking them on top of each other and inside of each other. I am not sure what exactly these are made of, but they are pretty sturdy. They have survived the last week with Katelyn! And she had tried to stand on some of them :)
There are lots of other items for this collection. Puzzles and other books and games. I think we need to get the Charley Harper’s 123s Book so she can learn her numbers too! Now I just need to get some colored pencils for the coloring book and we will be set! It is full of beautiful pictures of birds that Charley Harper drew!
