I am Leslie. I have been married for 9 years to Troy. We have two kids Katelyn and Ryan. I am currently a full time mommy! We live comfortably, but there are always ways to save to make things a bit easier.
This is what I wrote in June 2010 when I started It’s a Coupon Life:
I have been using coupons since we were first married. However, I am not the best at it and would like to become better. I average 20-30% savings on my groceries/household items each week. Yet, I hear of people saving 60% or more. This is my goal. I want to be able to save more. I also want to start a stockpile! I am amazed at those who don’t have to go shopping for toilet paper, laundry detergent and many other items for a year or more. While only taking trips for the very basics.
While I am not currently saving 60% right now as I had hoped back then. I can say that my knowledge of couponing has grown so much in the last few years. I have slacked off some, learning to manage two kids has taken some getting used to! Right now I am working on organzing and prioritizing our lives. I hope that as I do this I am freeing up more time to coupon! I am happy to say that I haven’t paid more than $0.50 for a tube of toothpaste in 3 years!
