Win Jockey Sports Bra & Purex Crystals

Wow, it has been awhile for a new giveaway! I think you will find that this one was worth the wait! What is January notorious for? Resolutions to lose weight, right? So, Jockey put out their new Tech Terry Performance Sports Bras for just this occasion.

Personally, I have never purchased a sports bra. I am just too cheap! Seriously, I never buy things for myself unless it is on clearance and I REALLY need it.

Back to the point… Sports bras are great for working out! I am a believer!  I am not one to wear a sports bra to the gym by itself, but if you are Jockey made a convenient key pocket for you. You may wonder what is so “Tech” about the Jockey Tech Terry Performance Sports Bras? Well, it has moisture-wicking technology which keeps you dry and cool. Who wants to feel sticky when they work out?! The most important thing to me was it is comfortable. I am nursing and I need a bra that is both supportive and doesn’t hurt me in sensitive places :) This one is very comfortable while on and working out!

Now, how do you keep a moisture-wicking bra to keep on wicking? Typically, you would not want to use a fabric softener on it. Fabric softeners are known to inhibit the drying or wicking ability in fabrics. This why you don’t use them on towels. (You knew that, right?!) Purex Crystals are a new way to keep all of your fabrics soft while they keep on wicking ;)

The Purex Crystals are 92% natural and they do not contain oils like other fabric softeners. This means they can be used on towels or your new Jockey Sports Bra! I was a little concerned trying out the Purex Crystals Tropical Splash. When you pour it out the scent is a bit over powering. However, once my clothes were washed and dried the scent was much mellower. The cool thing about using the crystals in the washer is they are supposed to infuse your clothes and they really did. While I wore my fresh clothes every so often I would get a hint of the Tropical Splash, but it wasn’t over powering. Troy didn’t even notice on his clothes, which I had been concerned about.

Here’s the fun part! For those of you interested in a new sports bra here is a 20% coupon for Jockey! Be sure to enter below to win your own Purex Crystals and Sports Bra!

Jockey and Purex provided free samples of their products so I could review them. However, all of the options expressed here are my own.

Ergonomic pen – UGLee Pen Review & Giveaway

Posted by Leslie | Giveaways!,Reviews | Saturday 5 November 2011 9:20 am

Ergonomic Pens

Dr Lee James Lee spent 8 years to develop his revolutionary UGLee Pen. He designed it to provide a comfort pen and eliminate pain while writing. The UGLee Pen is designed to grip you so you don’t have to hold it too hard making it an ergonomic pen. Reading the testimonials about UGLee Pen you see people have recovered from pain of writting with conditions such as arthritis and carpel tunel.

The pens have a gel grip at the bottom. Out of the box it felt kind of sticky which I wasn’t sure about. However, after using it a bit the stickiness went away. I think that may just be something you notice before the oils of your skin relax the gel a little. I really wanted Troy to try these since he uses pens all day long and has customers asking to borrow a pens. I wasn’t able to get him to take them to work though. His issue was the gel made the pen hard to pull in and out of his pockets. I do like how it writes. It is a smooth ink.

You can order the UGLee Ultimate Grip Pens on Amazon.com for less than $5 for 1 with free shipping. You can order 3-10 packs directly for UGLee Pens too!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Prefense Hand Sanitizer lasts 24 hrs! Win one!

Posted by Leslie | Giveaways!,Reviews | Thursday 20 October 2011 4:52 pm

Sponsored by Tomoson.com

Giveaway

I was given a sample of Prefense Non Alcohol Hand Sanitizer to try out. First, off the name says it all! There is no alcohol in their product. I don’t know if you have heard stories, but hand sanitizer has been linked to dangerous situations with small children. The alcohol content is high which can absorb into their little bodies plus it is flammable. So it is safe for our little ones to be using which is great because we know they can be little germ factories!

Now being safe for the kids is great, but who wants to follow their kids around constantly trying to re-sanitize them!? I don’t. For one I think we should expose our kids to germs to help build their immunity. Yet, I still think sanitizers can be helpful. Especially ones that have been tested against strains for Staph and MRSA. Prefense actually protects for 24 hours even through 10 active hand washings!

Personally, I like it so far. It is foam based so it isn’t runny and is easy to use. When you first apply it, it does seem a little sticky especially in the webs of your fingers for a few mins, it does dry/absorb quickly. I haven’t noticed a difference as far as it moisturizing, but it is not drying like regular sanitizers.

Other Benefits:
*$0.06 cents a day to use!
*1 dose per day
*water based

Where to Find:
You can purchase directly from the company. They recently added a combo deal including a container of hand wipes and a 1.5oz bottle all for just $7.99! These are normally $6.99 each!

Also check out Amazon if you want use your Swagbucks or Amazon prime.

The Couponizer 10th Anniversary Review & Giveaway!!

Posted by Leslie | Coupon Organization,Giveaways!,Reviews | Thursday 6 October 2011 8:00 am

I am excited to bring The Couponizer back to you :) Some of you may remember the review for The Couponizer I did before! As couponers one of the first things you learn is how important it is to be organized. Without being organized it is likely you will just stuff a stack of coupons in your purse or an envelope. Which is fine until you try to find one or miss one that you could have used. Not only does disorganization cost you valuable time it also costs you $$!

There are so many ways to organize your coupons. Finding an organization method that works for you can be a process. Personally, I use the coupon binder method. The binder has worked for me, but it can be overwhelming for those of you who are just starting out. So I bring to you The Couponizer! Here is a picture from the previous edition:

The Couponizer is celebrating their 1oth Anniversary in April. To celebrate they have released a 10th Anniversary Edition of The Couponizer! What is new?

*All new graphics
*Upgraded Materials making it more durable with a streamlined look!

The Couponizer is still only $19.95 making it an affordable option that will help you start saving money right away! It is basically a book with different categories to keep your coupons separate. There are pockets on each page to keep your coupons in. It is kind of like a binder only miniature. It is small enough to keep in your purse and have your coupons with you all the time! It also comes with Customer Loyalty Card Sleeves, Shopping List, CoupTracker, Scissors, CoupStacker and Carrying Bag!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Freschetta Simply Inspired/By the Slice Reviews & Giveaway!

Posted by Leslie | Giveaways!,Reviews | Tuesday 12 April 2011 12:49 pm

Freschetta Simply Inspired Giveaway

One of the sponsors for Blissdom Nashville 2011 was Freschetta! They served us pizza for dinner Friday night :) I am excited to be partnered with them now and to be able to share their new products!

This last week, we had the chance to try the new Freschetta Simply Inspired pizza. I didn’t know what it was until I went to purchase it. They have 8 varieties to choose from, it was a little hard to choose since they all looked really good! We tried the Harvest Supreme.  You will notice the packaging is different than you are used to since it they are using 30% less materials than the average frozen pizza.

After cooking, I was a little nervous at first when I pulled it out of the oven since the crust is thin it looked a little burnt on the edges. After a look at the bottom it was okay! Our thoughts… Troy said it was “awesome”! Katelyn didn’t try it, it was late and I don’t think she felt like eating. As for me, I really enjoyed it. I felt like it was a gourmet pizza :) It tasted very fresh. The only downside was the thin crust wasn’t very filling. I could have ate the whole thing! We do have another in our freezer to try it again :)

Yesterday for lunch, I tried Freschetta By The Slice! There are 4 varieties for these. I tried the Chicken, Spinach, and Mushroom. It was easy to make and came in a special microwave crisper. The crust seemed a bit tough. I am not sure if this is because I let it sit awhile before I ate it or not. The flavor itself was good and I will try it again to see if the toughness was just a random issue.

Seek Me With All Your Heart – Book Review

Posted by Leslie | Reviews | Monday 4 April 2011 6:34 pm

I am really getting into these Amish stories! They are sweet love stores intertwined with Amish beliefs and even sometimes unbelief. They are true to the lifestyle and make you feel a connection with these characters. We live near an Amish community and it is nice to know they are just regular people with the same concerns as everyone else. They just live a little differently.

Seek Me with All Your Heart by Beth Wiseman follows Emily and David’s families. Both have recently moved to a new community across the country from everything they have ever known. Both have hurts and secrets that cloud their judgement and make walls form. The story cuts into different family members thoughts and lives, but still doesn’t interfere with the main story of the growing love of Emily and David. Follow Emily, David and the others as they open their hearts and learn to live in a new place with new people. It is a very relatable story even has the crabby old lady down the street and touches lightly on infidelity. Everyone will be able to see something and get something from this sweet story of love, heartache and growth.

It again was one of those stories you don’t want to put down. After I finished reading it, I found myself with the desire to read more. It does appears that a new story with David’s Aunt Katie Ann as the main character will be out this fall!

Scott’s Liquid Gold Clean Screen – Review

Posted by Leslie | Reviews | Friday 11 March 2011 6:24 pm

My newest product to try out was Liquid Gold’s Clean Screen. If you know us you know we are a highly electronic family. Katelyn, 2, already knows how to get to the different applications on my phone :)  I thought this review would be very fitting for us. Electronics are expensive and making them last becomes a  priority. Benefits of the Scott’s Liquid Gold Clean Screen:

Has no Tap Water, Ammonia or Alcohol
Won’t Deteriorate or discolor or harm delicate surfaces
Leaves no residue
Doesn’t streak or smudge (big plus!!)

Not only do they have the Clean Screen spray they also have the Little Clean Screen which is basically a little wet wipe designed for electronics. So if you are traveling you can always have things clean. Usage ideas for Little Clean Screen: CDs/DVDs, glasses, and keyboards. The wipes do contain alcohol though unlike the spray. I used the wipes on my phone. It wipes Katelyn’s grubby prints off.

We have typically used the brand Monster screen cleaners. Troy being stuck in his ways didn’t want to try the Liquid Gold version on the TVs. I did it anyway…Shhh…. Don’t tell, okay!? See the Monster brand we have you basically have to buff out. It takes a lot of effort to get it to look clean and not worse than when you started.

We have a toddler and an 82 in TV those two do not mix well! Imagine the arm work out I would get trying to buff the screen of the 82 in! No, thank you. I used the Liquid Gold Screen Clean spray and I was so pleasantly suprised. There was no buffing. It removed the finger prints and I didn’t have to clean the whole screen to do it! So I would recommend this if you don’t want to have to buff to a clean.

Looks like the Scott’s Liquid Gold Clean Screenspray is about $6.99 on Amazon and is similarly priced in store. It is available at Walmart and other national retailers. Seems like the spray would last a while.

Visit them on Facebook!
