Easter is this weekend and for a lot of you it may be Spring Break too. I am not one to be crafty. Kind of sad, really. I met up with Hershey at a conference they let me create this awesome Easter basket which they sent to us filled with all our yummy favorites. They also told me about their website so we can all hop down the bunny trail with them. Check out it out and get crafty with Hershey! they have some really cute ideas. Leave me a comment sharing what you are doing for Easter!

Pregnancy Halloween Costumes!

Posted by Leslie | It's Fun Stuff! | Tuesday 11 October 2011 11:19 am

Maternity halloween costume

As many of you know I am pregnant. On Halloween I will be 32 weeks along. I haven’t really looked for a maternity Halloween costume. My imagination isn’t the greatest and I don’t want to be a fat orange pumpkin! I figured I would just take Katelyn as myself :) Then I found this super cute maternity iron on skeleton that would be great for Halloween! It has the momma skeleton and the baby skeleton! If you are having twins they have one for you too!

I am not much of a do it yourself person. Especially right now with only 73 days (or less!!) left till baby and 75 days till Christmas I feel like I have a million and one things to do! This project seems really simple. They have easy instructions to follow so I just need to find a shirt! Also check out some for your other family members in their couples costume section!

I will post a picture when I get mine set up! What is your family wearing for Halloween? Leave us a comment!

Disclosure: I received a maternity iron on in exchange for this post.

Road Trips this Summer? Win a trip from Twizzler!

Posted by Leslie | It's Fun Stuff! | Monday 16 May 2011 4:27 pm

Twizzlers

Are you taking any road trips this summer with the kids? We are planning a trip in October and depending on funding it may be an 8 hour drive! Should be fun with Katelyn who will then be 3! One go to snack for trips is Twizzlers they reminder me of the movies :) One of my last trips Katelyn had blue Twizzlers… made for interesting diaper changes. LOL

TwizzlersLandmark Summer™ promotion is giving you the chance to win a trip to a well-known United States destination plus daily, road trip-themed prizes throughout the summer! Be sure to enter at www.twizzlers.com!

Here are some great tips from family travel expert Emily Kaufman, “The Travel Mom,” families are starting to think past the backyard “staycation”and are rediscovering the freedom of the open road. Kaufman shares the following tips for a fun and safe family road trip:

  • Create a boredom bag. Convert a hanging travel cosmetic case into a case full of fun and hang it from the seat back in front of the kids’ seats. Consider creating fun works of art withTwizzlers
    Pull ‘n’ Peel
    Candy before snacking on them!
  • Take your trip “online.” From GPS systems to phone applications, trips are no longer a navigation nightmare.
  • Think through the snacks you pack. Avoid packing snacks that are easy to spill like juice boxes or snacks that melt. Try plastic bottles with sports tops and bring along TwizzlersCandy or Twizzlers Nibs Candy – they are easy to share and don’t melt, making them the perfect car ride treat.

Visit www.Twizzlers.com for more great tips! Where are you going this summer with Twizzlers?

An Amish Love – Book Review

Posted by Leslie | It's Fun Stuff! | Wednesday 5 January 2011 8:00 pm

Amish Love Book

An Amish Love is three novels in one! Although, it says that on the cover I didn’t figure it out until I got through the first one, A Marriage of the Heart by Kelly Long. Healing Hearts by Beth Wiseman and What the Heart Sees by Kathleen Fuller are the other two included! If you read my last review you know I want a book that will keep my attention and pull me into it. These loves stories did just that! I couldn’t put it down. The stories make you smile, laugh and cry. What more do you want?

A Marriage of the Heart follows Abby and Joseph as marry unexpectedly and learn to know each other. It is really interesting as she kind of tricked him into the marriage yet they determine it was all in Gods planning that they were meant to be together.

What the Heart Sees is about Ellie who was blinded in a car accident. She thinks she will never find love since who could love a blind person. Chris returns from the outside world and find Ellie to be intriguing and beautiful.

Healing Hearts follow the Lapps who are a couple married for many years and now struggling with empty nest syndrome. The husband actually leaves for a almost a year not knowing how to relate to his wife anymore. Will they find love again?

I think these stories will appeal to any woman. The romance and love we all can relate to. While these are considerably tame compared to ‘regular’ romance novels I would use caution if you are going to have your girls read them as they have some seductive wording.

Loved them and would recommend for a weekend read :) Visit Amazon An Amish Love: Healing Hearts/What the Heart Sees/A Marriage of the Heart (Inspirational Amish Anthology
